Bayern Munich 2-0 Inter: Job done for The Reds at home to Nerazzurri

Internazionale succumbed to an away defeat against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday. Both sides arrived fresh from some positive results. Bayern were looking to continue their good run after winning their previous two games in the league. The most recent was against the Barcelona away (3-0), the other to Viktoria Pilsen away (4-2) whilst Inter had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 4-0 victory against Viktoria Pilsen. Following this match, Bayern and Inter are 1st (18 points) and 2nd (10 points) in the final table respectively, after a total of 6 matches.

Bayern started well, when Benjamin Pavard found the net, at 32 minutes, finishing the first half 1-0.

The Reds once more applied the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, with a goal from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, 72 minutes in. The match ended with a 2-0 victory for Bayern.

Substitutions for Bayern included Alphonso Davies, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, Mathys Tel and Paul Wanner for Dayot Upamecano, Sadio Mane, Noussair Mazraoui, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Kingsley Coman, respectively. Inter replaced Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Edin Dzeko, Valentin Carboni and Milan Skriniar with Roberto Gagliardini, Nicolo Barella, Lautaro Martinez, Joaquin Correa and Stefan De Vrij.

There were bookings for Marcel Sabitzer, Joshua Kimmich and Josip Stanisic from Bayern. For Inter, Robin Gosens and Valentin Carboni saw yellow.
