Barca 0 – Bayern 3: Los Blaugranas left stunned by marauding visitors

Barca suffered a home defeat to Bayern Munich on Wednesday at the Nou Camp. Barca were on the hunt for more points after a 3-3 draw against Internazionale. Bayern were hoping to continue their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Viktoria Pilsen and Viktoria Pilsen. Barca and Bayern currently occupy 3rd and 1st spots in the league, with 4 points and 15 points respectively after 5 matches.

The Reds dominated the first half, when Sadio Mane opened the rout on the 10 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting made it 2-0 on the 31 minute mark, concluding the first half 2-0.

Bayern continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Benjamin Pavard found the net just before the final whistle, seing the match finish 3-0.

Substitutions for Barca included Ferran Torres, Raphinha, Eric Garcia, Ansu Fati and Pablo Torre Carral for Sergio Busquets, Pedri, Jules Kounde, Ousmane Dembele and Robert Lewandowski, respectively. Bayern brought on Marcel Sabitzer, Thomas Muller, Benjamin Pavard, Ryan Gravenberch and Josip Stanisic, to replace Leon Goretzka, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Dayot Upamecano, Jamal Musiala and Noussair Mazraoui.

There were bookings for Sergio Busquets from Barca, and Noussair Mazraoui, Leon Goretzka and Dayot Upamecano, for Bayern.

Barca will next travel to Viktoria Pilsen, while Bayern will face Internazionale at home.
