Ajax 0-3 Liverpool: Home side humiliated by impressive Reds

Liverpool see Ajax off 3-0 on Wednesday at the Johan Cruyff Arena. Ajax were looking forward to playing again after losing 4-2 to Napoli in their last match while Liverpool were coming from consecutive wins against Rangers and Rangers. Ajax are now in 3rd place, with 3 points from 5 matches, while Liverpool sit in 2nd, with 12 points from 5.
Liverpool found the net first, when Mohamed Salah opened the rout just before half-time, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.
Liverpool started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with an early goal from Darwin Nunez in the 49th minute. The Reds then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Harvey Elliott on the 52 minute mark to make it 3-0.
Substitutions for Ajax included Mohammed Kudus, Owen Wijndal, Kenneth Taylor, Chico Conceicao and Florian Grillitsch for Davy Klaassen, Daley Blind, Brian Brobbey, Steven Berghuis and Edson Alvarez, respectively. Liverpool brought on Curtis Jones, Fabio Carvalho, James Milner, Stefan Bajcetic and Kostas Tsimikas, to replace Darwin Nunez, Harvey Elliott, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Andy Robertson.
Ajax will play away against Rangers, while Liverpool will face Napoli at home.
