Wolfsburg 4 – Arminia 0: The Wolves blaze past The Blues at the Volkswagen Arena

Arminia Bielefeld fell to an away defeat at the hands of Wolfsburg at the Volkswagen Arena on Saturday. Wolfsburg were hoping to get something from this game after losing 3-0 to Augsburg in their previous fixture. Arminia, on the other hand, were unable to beat Stuttgart in a 1-1 draw. As it stands, Wolfsburg and Arminia are 13th, (34 points) and 16th, (26 points), in the table respectively, after 29 matches.

The Wolves didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, with Lukas Nmecha opening the rout, at 11 minutes. Wolfsburg then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a 2nd effort from Lukas Nmecha in the 38th minute, to take a 2-0 lead into half time.

Wolfsburg started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with an early goal from Maximilian Arnold in the 48th minute. Wolfsburg then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Max Kruse in the 53rd minute with a final score of 4-0.

For Wolfsburg, Bartosz Bialek, Kevin Mbabu, Aster Vranckx, Felix Nmecha and Kevin Paredes, came on for Lukas Nmecha, Maxence Lacroix, Max Kruse, Jonas Wind and Maximilian Arnold. Arminia brought on Jacob Laursen, Nathan De Medina, Bryan Lasme, Masaya Okugawa and Fabian Kunze, to replace Andres Andrade, Cedric Brunner, Janni Serra, Patrick Wimmer and Alessandro Schopf.

The referee booked Joakim Nilsson for Arminia.

Wolfsburg will play their next game away against Borussia Dortmund, while Arminia will face Bayern Munich at home.
