Stuttgart banked all three points against the Augsburg in a 2-1 victory on Saturday, at Mercedes Benz Arena. Stuttgart were hoping to get something from this game after losing 5-0 to Borussia Dortmund in their previous fixture while Augsburg had secured a point against RB Leipzig in their previous match. Stuttgart are now in 15th place, with 11 points from 12 matches, while Augsburg sit in 13th, with 14 points from 12.

The first half of the match started well for Fuggerstädter, with an early goal from Florian Niederlechner in the 4th minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as Sehrou Guirassy equalised for Stuttgart on the 15 minute mark. The score at half time remained 1-1.

The Reds once more applied the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, when Waldemar Anton found the net just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 2-1.

Substitutions for Stuttgart included Tiago Tomas, Lilian Egloff, Atakan Karazor and Pascal Stenzel for Silas Wamangituka, Chris Fuhrich, Luca Pfeiffer and Waldemar Anton, respectively. Augsburg brought on Lukas Petkov, Felix Ohis Uduokhai, Daniel Caligiuri and Arne Maier, to replace Ruben Vargas, Mads Pedersen, Lukas Petkov and Carlos Gruezo.

There were bookings for Luca Pfeiffer from Stuttgart, and Carlos Gruezo and Elvis Rexhbecaj, for Augsburg.

Stuttgart will next play B Mönchengladbach away, with Augsburg facing Eintracht Frankfurt at home.
