Freiburg 1-0 Bochum: Breisgau Brazilians claim narrow home win

SC Freiburg strolled past Bochum with a 1-0 win on Friday at Europa-Park-Stadion. Freiburg were looking to pick up points, following a 1-0 victory against Stuttgart. Bochum lost 7-0 in the last match they played against Bayern Munich. As it stands, Freiburg and Bochum currently occupy 2nd and 18th spots in the league, with 9 points and 0 points respectively after 4 matches.

After a goalless first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on Freiburg who started the second half well, with an early goal from Vincenzo Grifo in the 48th minute. The match ended with a 1-0 victory for Freiburg.

Substitutions for Freiburg included Nils Petersen, Woo-yeong Jeong, Noah Weisshaupt, Robert Wagner and Manuel Gulde for Michael Gregoritsch, Ritsu Doan, Vincenzo Grifo, Yannik Keitel and Roland Sallai, repectively. Bochum brought on Saidy Janko, Philipp Hofmann, Jordi Osei-Tutu and Ivan Ordets, to replace Kostas Stafylidis, Takuma Asano, Jacek Goralski and Cristian Gamboa.

There were bookings for Roland Sallai and Nicolas Hofler from Freiburg. For Bochum, Kostas Stafylidis and Manuel Riemann saw yellow.

Freiburg will next play Bayer Leverkusen away, with Bochum facing Werder Bremen at home.
