Freiburg 3 – Bochum 0: Bad day for visitors at Europa-Park-Stadion

SC Freiburg strolled past Bochum with a 3-0 win on Saturday at Europa-Park-Stadion. Freiburg were looking to continue their run after winning last match. Bochum had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Bayer Leverkusen. As it stands, Freiburg and Bochum are 5th, (51 points) and 12th, (36 points), spots respectively, after 30 matches.

Freiburg started the first half well, with an early goal from Lukas Kubler in the 5th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Roland Sallai made it 2-0 at the 16 minute mark, finalising the first half 2-0.

Breisgau Brazilians started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with Roland Sallai finding the net again, at 53 minutes, leaving the final score at 3-0.

For Freiburg, Jonathan Schmid, Ermedin Demirovic, Lucas Holer, Noah Weisshaupt and Janik Haberer, came on for Nils Petersen, Lukas Kubler, Woo-yeong Jeong, Roland Sallai and Nicolas Hofler. Bochum replaced Simon Zoller, Danny Blum, Elvis Rexhbecaj, Jurgen Locadia and Patrick Osterhage with Milos Pantovic, Takuma Asano, Danilo Soares, Sebastian Polter and Eduard Lowen.

Kostas Stafylidis saw the red card, for Bochum.

Freiburg next face B Mönchengladbach and Bochum are at home to Augsburg.
