Leipzig 3 – Hoffenheim 0: The Red Bulls blaze 3 past From Kraichgau region at Red Bull Arena

RB Leipzig beat Hoffenheim with a thumping 3-0 victory on Sunday at Red Bull Arena. Leipzig were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Hoffenheim lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Bochum. After today’s result, Leipzig and Hoffenheim are 4th, (51 points) and 6th, (44 points), in the table respectively, after 29 matches.

The Red Bulls didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, with an early goal from Christopher Nkunku in the 5th minute. The momentum was now with Leipzig, who then scored again through a goal from Marcel Halstenberg, 20 minutes in to establish a 2-0. Leipzig then netted once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Dominik Szoboszlai just before half-time, which saw the first half end 3-0. The second half was uneventful with no goals and little action at either end.

For Leipzig, Tyler Adams, Yussuf Poulsen, Lukas Klostermann, Angelino and Dani Olmo, came on for Konrad Laimer, Christopher Nkunku, Mohamed Simakan, Marcel Halstenberg and Kevin Kampl. Hoffenheim brought on Jacob Bruun Larsen, Munas Dabbur and Robert Skov, to replace Georginio Rutter, Christoph Baumgartner and Ihlas Bebou.

There were bookings for Nordi Mukiele from Leipzig. For Hoffenheim, Pavel Kaderabek and Chris Richards saw yellow.

Leipzig will next travel to Bayer Leverkusen, while Hoffenheim will face Greuther Fürth at home.
