Hoffenheim 1 – Bochum 2: Visitors steal the show at the Pre Zero Arena

Hoffenheim on home loss to Bochum at the Pre Zero Arena on Saturday. Both Hoffenheim and Bochum arrived at the match from previous defeats in the league. Hoffenheim arrived at the game looking pick up points after losing their last game 3-0 to Hertha. Bochum, on the other hand, lost 2-0 in the last match they played against B Mönchengladbach. As the table looks today, Hoffenheim and Bochum currently occupy 6th and 11th spots in the table, with 44 points and 35 points respectively after 28 matches.

Bochum started the game well, thanks to a goal from Takuma Asano in the 28th minute, seeing out the first half 0-1.

From Kraichgau region started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with David Raum finding the net at the 54 minute mark. Bochum in turn, then responded, at 59 minutes increasing their lead with a second effort from Takuma Asano, leaving the final score at 2-1.

For Hoffenheim, Chris Richards, Georginio Rutter, Dennis Geiger, Sebastian Rudy and Jacob Bruun Larsen, came on for Kevin Akpoguma, Pavel Kaderabek, Angelo Stiller, Diadie Samassekou and Ihlas Bebou. Bochum brought on Gerrit Holtmann, Patrick Osterhage, Tarsis Bonga and Herbert Bockhorn, to replace Milos Pantovic, Kostas Stafylidis, Takuma Asano and Cristian Gamboa.

There were bookings for Kevin Akpoguma, David Raum and Kevin Vogt from Hoffenheim. For Bochum, Kostas Stafylidis and Maxim Leitsch saw yellow.

Hoffenheim will next play RB Leipzig away, with Bochum facing Bayer Leverkusen at home.
