Hoffenheim 0-2 Bayern Munich: The Reds secure good away win

Bayern Munich’s 2-0 win over Hoffenheim on Saturday, was hard fought at the Pre Zero Arena. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Hoffenheim were looking to continue their good run after winning last match. Bayern were looking to extend their winning run after a 5-0 victory against SC Freiburg. Hoffenheim and Bayern are 6th, (17 points) and 2nd, (22 points), in the table respectively, after 11 matches.

The Reds started strongly in the first half, with a goal from Jamal Musiala, at 17 minutes. Bayern then netted once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in the 38th minute, to take a 2-0 lead into half time. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 2-0.

Substitutions for Hoffenheim included Andrej Kramaric, Pavel Kaderabek, Tom Bischof, Sebastian Rudy and Angelo Stiller for Christoph Baumgartner, Robert Skov, Munas Dabbur, Dennis Geiger and Grischa Promel, respectively. Bayern brought on Sadio Mane, Mathys Tel, Marcel Sabitzer, Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch for Kingsley Coman, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala.

There were bookings for Christoph Baumgartner, Grischa Promel and Ozan Kabak from Hoffenheim. For Bayern, Dayot Upamecano and Joshua Kimmich saw yellow.

Hoffenheim will next play FC Köln away, with Bayern facing Mainz at home.
