Hoffenheim 1 – 1 Gladbach: Plenty of goals but no win at the Pre Zero Arena

Hoffenheim were held to 1-1 draw by Gladbach down on Saturday at the Pre Zero Arena. Hoffenheim wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Bayer Leverkusen in their previous game. Gladbach, on the other hand, lost 3-2 in the last match they played against Eintracht Frankfurt. Following today’s result, Hoffenheim are currently 4th with 28 points from 17 matches, while Gladbach sit in 13th, with 19 points from 17.
Gladbach started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to Breel Embolo finding the net in the 35th minute, to take a 0-1 lead into half time.
Hoffenheim took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Kevin Akpoguma just before the final whistle and seeing the game end 1-1.
For Hoffenheim, Ihlas Bebou, Christoph Baumgartner and Kevin Akpoguma, came on for Munas Dabbur, Angelo Stiller and Pavel Kaderabek. Gladbach replaced Luca Netz and Alassane Plea with Marcus Thuram and Breel Embolo.
There were bookings for Pavel Kaderabek and Dennis Geiger from Hoffenheim. For Gladbach, Ramy Bensebaini and Stefan Lainer saw yellow.
