Hertha 1-1 Hoffenheim: Visitors miss out on three points at Olympiastadion

Hertha were helde ach other to a 1-1 draw by Hoffenheim on Sunday at Olympiastadion. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were each keen to pick up points. Hertha were looking for a victory following a 1-1 draw with Mainz in their previous game. Hoffenheim, meanwhile, had managed to pick up a point in their matchup with SC Freiburg. Hertha are now in 14th place on the table and have 7 points while Hoffenheim sit in 5th with 14 points after 8 matches.

Hoffenheim started strongly in the first half, when Andrej Kramaric found the net in the 25th minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as Dodi Lukebakio equalised for Hertha in the 37th minute. The score at break remained 1-1. The second 45 minutes ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

Substitutions for Hertha included Agustin Rogel, Marco Richter, Davie Selke, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Maximilian Mittelstadt for Filip Uremovic, Suat Serdar, Wilfried Kanga, Dodi Lukebakio and Chidera Ejuke, respectively. Hoffenheim brought on Georginio Rutter, Angelo Stiller, Jacob Bruun Larsen, Robert Skov and Kevin Akpoguma, to replace Munas Dabbur, Dennis Geiger, Christoph Baumgartner, Angelino and Stanley Nsoki.

There were bookings for Suat Serdar and Ivan Sunjic from Hertha, and Stanley Nsoki, for Hoffenheim.

Hoffenheim and Hertha will next play at home to Werder Bremen and SC Freiburg respectively.
