Greuther Fürth 1 – Dortmund 3: Die Borussen get valuable away win at Sportpark Ronhof Thomas Sommer

Greuther Fürth on Saturday lost to Borussia Dortmund on a home defeat at Sportpark Ronhof Thomas Sommer. Greuther Fürth wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Union Berlin in their previous game. Dortmund had lost their previous match against Bochum. As it stands, Greuther Fürth are in 18th place, with 18 points from 33 matches, while Dortmund sit in 2nd, with 66 points from 33.

Dortmund found the net first, with Julian Brandt finding the net in the 26th minute, to take a 0-1 lead into half time.

Greuther Fürth took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Jessic Ngankam at the 70 minute mark. However, each side looked hungry to win and Die Borussen then found the back of the net, 72 minutes in thanks to Julian Brandt, taking the score to 2-1. However they weren’t finished yet and Felix Passlack made it 3-1 in the 77th minute to make it 3-1.

For Greuther Fürth, Maximilian Bauer, Julian Green, Paul Seguin, Jeremy Dudziak and Dickson Abiama, came on for Simon Asta, Tobias Raschl, Timothy Tillmann, Max Christiansen and Jessic Ngankam. Dortmund brought on Felix Passlack, Nico Schulz, Youssoufa Moukoko and Manuel Pherai for Marius Wolf, Raphael Guerreiro, Erling Haaland and Marco Reus.

Greuther Fürth will play away against Augsburg, while Dortmund will face Hertha at home.
