Saturday Bundesliga action from the Signal Iduna Park, as Dortmund take on Wolfsburg.

Dortmund, currently sitting second in the League, will be hoping to secure all three points when they welcome Wolfsburg to the Signal Iduna Park.

Borussia Dortmund go into this meeting with 60 points secured

Dortmund will be keen to retain their winning form, having beaten Stuttgart 0-2 in their last fixture.

Also, Dortmund keep finding ways to win, having secured 12 victories in their last 20 matches is astonishing this season, a form has placed them in clear contention for Champion’s League qualification. They currently stand second in the League, with 60 points for a total of 19 wins, 7 losses and 3 draws having won 19 games, drawn three meetings, and lost seven fixtures.

Dortmund will welcome Wolfsburg to the Signal Iduna Park, safe in the knowledge that their home record this season is outstanding. This is further strengthened by their good home results, as they have won 11 games and lost three fixtures in the 14matches they’ve played so far this season.

Victory for Borussia Dortmund would take their points tally to 63 so far this season.

Good Attacking Performance

They have a good scoring average of 70 goals (69 from open play and one penalty). This has been largely down to the key attacking players: Marco Reus (5), Marius Wolf (3), and Julian Brandt (2). Dortmund have conceded 42 goals.

It is likely that six key players will miss Saturday’s fixture, which is something of a concern for Marco Rose and his Dortmund team.

Wolfsburg have so far accrued 34 points in this season of the Bundesliga

Arminia Bielefeld were beaten 4-0 at the Volkswagen Arena, the last time that Wolfsburg played.

Also, Florian Kohfeldt knows that a run of 11 losses in 17 matches for his Wolfsburg side, is going to be a tough run of form to change. However that is exactly what he must try to deliver. Their position is thirteenth in the League and they have 34 points, that is, 10W, 15L and 4D having won 10 games, drawn four meetings, and lost 15 matches.

With a poor record on the road, which amounts to four wins, two darts, and eight losses, it is hard to predict a positive outcome for Wolfsburg as they travel once more.

A victory for Wolfsburg would put them on 37 points.

Wolfsburg’s squad will likely be depleted of three of their key players when they start on Saturday, due to injury or illness.
