Next Saturday at 3:30pm GMT, on matchday 32 of the Bundesliga, we will see Dortmund play Bochum at the Signal Iduna Park.

Right now, Dortmund sit in second place in the League, 10 places higher than the twelfth placed hosts, Bochum.

Borussia Dortmund go into this match with 63 points secured

With two wins in a row under his belt, Marco Rose takes his Dortmund team into this game full of confidence, and hopeful of another successive victory.

Also, Dortmund keep finding ways to win, having secured 12 victories in their last 20 games is astonishing this season, a rich vein of form that has drastically improved their Bundesliga position. With 63 points (20W, 9L and 3D), they are established in second position in the League having won 20 meetings, drawn three fixtures, and lost nine matches.

Bochum will have to defy the odds when they travel to Dortmund, if they are to get anything out of the game. With Dortmund having won 12 meetings and lost three games this season at home, this is a huge ask.

A victory for Borussia Dortmund would put them on 66 points.

Dortmund are no strangers this season to illness and injury and Marco Rose is concerned that Saturday’s fixture could see him without eight of his key players.

Bochum have 36 points to their name, going into this tie

This match sees Bochum looking for a return to form, following a defeat in their last match against Augsburg.

Also, Bochum need to get out of the losing habit, with five recorded in the last eight matches. They currently stand twelfth in the League, with 36 points for a total of 11 wins, 15 losses and 6 draws having won 11 meetings, drawn six meetings, and lost 15 fixtures.

Bochum have had a disappointing run of performances on the road, having won three games, drawn two matches, and lost 10 meetings of their 15 League matches on the road this season.

Victory for Bochum would take their points tally to 39 so far this season.
