Dortmund 6 – Gladbach 0: Die Borussen on fire, 6 without reply at the Signal Iduna Park

Borussia Dortmund cruise to win vs. B Mönchengladbach 6-0 on Sunday at the Signal Iduna Park. Both Dortmund and Gladbach arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Dortmund were looking to pick up points, following a 3-0 victory against Union Berlin. Gladbach, on the other hand, were able to continue their winning streak after a 3-2 win against Augsburg in their last match. As the table looks today, Dortmund and Gladbach are 2nd, (49 points) and 13th, (26 points), in the league respectively, after 23 matches.
Dortmund didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, with Marco Reus opening the rout in the 26th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Donyell Malen made it 2-0, 32 minutes in. The score at half time was 2-0.
Die Borussen continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Marius Wolf finding the net at the 70 minute mark. The momentum was now with Dortmund, who then scored again through a goal from Youssoufa Moukoko at the 74 minute mark to establish a 4-0. Dortmund looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a 2nd effort from Marco Reus in the 81st minute to establish a 5-0. Dortmund then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a penalty goal from Emre Can just before the final whistle to make it 6-0.
For Dortmund, Julian Brandt, Marin Pongracic, Marius Wolf, Nico Schulz and Youssoufa Moukoko, came on for Giovanni Reyna, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Thorgan Hazard, Raphael Guerreiro and Donyell Malen. Gladbach brought on Marcus Thuram, Joe Scally and Christoph Kramer, to replace Marvin Friedrich, Stefan Lainer and Kouadio Kone.
There were bookings for Dan-Axel Zagadou and Mahmoud Dahoud from Dortmund. For Gladbach, Ramy Bensebaini saw yellow.
Dortmund will next travel to Augsburg, while Gladbach will face Wolfsburg at home.
