Bochum 1-1 Cologne: The Billy Goats rescue a late point at Vonovia Ruhrstadion

Bochum were helde ach other to a 1-1 draw by Cologne on Sunday at Vonovia Ruhrstadion. Both Bochum and Cologne came from defeats in their previous league games. Bochum arrived at the match looking to pick up more points after losing 3-1 to Schalke in their previous fixture. Cologne had lost their previous match against Union Berlin. Bochum and Cologne sit 18th, (1 point) and 9th, (10 points), spots respectively, after 7 matches.

Bochum started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Benno Erik Schmitz found the net, at 9 minutes, concluding the first half 1-0.

The Billy Goats took the initiative in the second half, when Linton Maina found the net just before the final whistle, levelled the final score at 1-1 draw.

Substitutions for Bochum included Jordi Osei-Tutu, Christopher Antwi-Adjej, Erhan Masovic, Saidy Janko and Vasilis Lampropoulos for Gerrit Holtmann, Philipp Hofmann, Tim Oermann, Cristian Gamboa and Ivan Ordets, respectively.
