Arminia Bielefeld fell to an away defeat at the hands of Bochum at Vonovia Ruhrstadion on Friday. Bochum were looking to pick up points, following a 4-3 victory against Borussia Dortmund. Arminia, on the other hand, had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Hertha. As the table looks today, Bochum and Arminia currently occupy 10th and 17th spots in the league, with 42 points and 27 points respectively after 33 matches.

Bochum started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Sebastian Polter giving Bochum the lead, at 21 minutes. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Joakim Nilsson equalised for Arminia, 35 minutes in, finishing the first half 1-1.

Bochum rallied after this and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from George Bello just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 2-1.

For Bochum, Jurgen Locadia, Simon Zoller, Robert Tesche, Eduard Lowen and Danny Blum, came on for Sebastian Polter, Gerrit Holtmann, Elvis Rexhbecaj, Milos Pantovic and Takuma Asano. Arminia brought on Janni Serra, Sebastian Vasiliadis, George Bello, Burak Ince and Robin Hack, to replace Florian Kruger, Gonzalo Castro, Jacob Laursen, Masaya Okugawa and Alessandro Schopf.

Bochum will next travel to Union Berlin, while Arminia will face RB Leipzig at home.
