Bayern 3 – Dortmund 1: Home win for The Reds as they ease paste Die Borussen

Bayern Munich snatched all three points from Borussia Dortmund in a 3-1 victory on Saturday, at the Allianz Arena. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. Bayern were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches in the league. The most recent was against the Arminia Bielefeld away (3-0), the other to Augsburg at home (1-0) while Dortmund were coming from consecutive wins against Wolfsburg and Stuttgart. Following today’s result, Bayern and Dortmund currently occupy 1st and 2nd spots in the league, with 75 points and 63 points respectively after 31 matches.

The Reds found the net first, with a goal from Serge Gnabry at the 15 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Robert Lewandowski made it 2-0 at the 34 minute mark to see out the first half 2-0.

Dortmund started the second half with renewed vigour, thanks to Emre Can finding the net at the 52 minute mark. In the end though, Bayern, at 83 minutes increased their lead following a Jamal Musiala goal, sealing a 3-1 victory for the away side.

For Bayern, Jamal Musiala, Marcel Sabitzer, Leroy Sane, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Niklas Sule, came on for Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller, Kingsley Coman, Robert Lewandowski and Joshua Kimmich. Dortmund brought on Jamie Bynoe Gittens, Youssoufa Moukoko and Felix Passlack, to replace Reinier, Erling Haaland and Marius Wolf.

The referee booked Emre Can for Dortmund.

Bayern will next play Mainz away, with Dortmund facing Bochum at home.
