Talleres Córdoba strolled past Defensa and Justicia with a 1-0 win on Monday at Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes. Talleres were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 1-0 to Rosario Central in their previous fixture. Defensa and Justicia, meanwhile, were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Talleres are currently 24th with 18 points from 18 matches, while Defensa and Justicia sit in 22nd, with 19 points from 18.

After a goalless first half, Talleres applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Diego Valoyes gave them the lead on the 60 minute mark. The match ended with a 1-0 home victory.

Substitutions for Talleres included Maximiliano Gonzalo Alvez, Juan Cruz Giacone, Christian Oliva and Ulises Ortegoza for Hector Fertoli, Matias Godoy, Alan Franco and Rodrigo Garro, respectively. Defensa and Justicia brought on Nicolas Fernandez, Tomas Ezequiel Galvan and Lucas Albertengo for Manuel Duarte, Lucas Souto and Gabriel Alanis.

There were bookings for Matias Godoy from Talleres, and Kevin Gutierrez, Alexis Soto, Nazareno Colombo and Ezequiel Unsain, for Defensa and Justicia.
