Rosario Central 1-1 Estudiantes: Honours even as hosts fight back

On Friday, Rosario Central and Estudiantes played out a 1-1 draw at Estadio Dr. Lisandro de La Torre. Rosario Central were hoping to get something from this game after losing 2-1 to Argentinos Juniors in their last match. Estudiantes, meanwhile, were able to continue their winning streak after a 1-0 win against Racing Club in their last match. Rosario Central are currently 18th with 23 points from 19 matches, while Estudiantes sit in 13th, with 27 points from 19.

Estudiantes started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Mauro Boselli gave them the lead, 14 minutes in to see out the first half 1-0.

Rosario Central took the lead in the second half, when Franco Frias found the net just before the final whistle, seing the match finish 1-1.

Substitutions for Rosario Central included Gino Infantino, Juan Cruz Cerrudo, Jhonatan Candia, Damian Martinez and Franco Frias for Francis Mac Allister, Alan Marinelli, Ismael Cortez, Alejo Veliz and Kevin Ortiz, respectively. Estudiantes brought on Leandro Diaz, Nehuen Paz, Benjamin Rollheiser, Leonardo Heredia and Gonzalo Pineiro, to replace Franco Zapiola, Mauro Mendez, Mauro Boselli, Manuel Castro and Fernando Zuqui.

There were bookings for Franco Frias and Gino Infantino from Rosario Central, and Jorge Morel, Emanuel Mas and Jorge Rodriguez, for Estudiantes.
