River 1-0 Gimnasia: Visitors shut out as River collect three points
River beat Gimnasia La Plata with a thumping 1-0 victory on Friday at Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. River arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Vélez Sarsfield in their previous game.
