Patronato 2-1 Atlético Tucumán: Patronato snap winless streak with home success

Patronato enjoyed a home victory against Atlético Tucumán at Estadio Presbitero Bartolome Grella on Sunday. Patronato were hoping to get something from this game after losing 2-1 to Defensa and Justicia in their last match. Atlético Tucumán were hoping to continue their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Estudiantes La Plata and Argentinos Juniors. Patronato are now in 11th place on the table and have 31 points while Atlético Tucumán sit in 1st with 41 points after 22 matches.

Atlético Tucumán dominated the first half, with an early goal from Mateo Coronel in the 5th minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as Marcelo Estigarribia equalised for Patronato, 16 minutes in, to take a 1-1 lead into half time.

Patronato rallied after this and were rewarded, when Sebastian Medina found the net in the 65th minute, seing the match finish 2-1.

Substitutions for Patronato included Juan Guasone, Jonathan Herrera, Alexander Sosa, Leonel Mosevich and Franco Leys for Sergio Ojeda, Jonas Acevedo, Marcelo Estigarribia, Nicolas Eduardo Castro and Tiago Banega, respectively. Atlético Tucumán brought on Eugenio Isnaldo, Ramiro Ruiz Rodriguez, Augusto Lotti, Francisco Di Franco and Enrique Borja for Ramiro Carrera, Cristian Menendez, Mateo Coronel, Renzo Ivan Tesuri and Gaston Gil Romero.

There were bookings for Juan Guasone from Patronato. For Atlético Tucumán, Gaston Gil Romero and Nicolas Thaller saw yellow.

Patronato will next play Colón away, with Atlético Tucumán facing CA Platense at home.
