Patronato 0-1 Arsenal de Sarandi: Visitors extend excellent unbeaten form with road victory

Arsenal de Sarandi eased past Patronato in a 1-0 victory on Saturday at Estadio Presbitero Bartolome Grella. Patronato were looking for a victory after a 2-2 draw against Newell’s Old Boys. Arsenal de Sarandi, on the other hand, were coming off the back of a 2-1 win against Estudiantes La Plata. As things stand, Patronato are in 15th place, with 8 points from 7 matches, while Arsenal de Sarandi sit in 9th, with 10 points from 7.

Arsenal de Sarandi started the match well, when Facundo Kruspzky gave Arsenal de Sarandi the lead just before halftime, to take a 1-0 lead into half time. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-0.

Substitutions for Patronato included Justo Giani, Alexander Sosa, Juan Pablo Barinaga, Francisco Alvarez and Mauro Ortiz for Sebastian Medina, Jonathan Herrera, Nicolas Eduardo Castro, Carlos Quintana and Axel Rodriguez, repectively. Arsenal de Sarandi brought on Facundo Kruspzky, Ignacio Gariglio, Braian Rivero and Alexander Diaz, to replace Lucas Brochero, Gonzalo Goni, Joaquin Pombo Steinberger and Juan Apaolaza.

There were bookings for Franco Leys and Raul Alberto Lozano from Patronato, and Julian Navas, Juan Apaolaza and Dardo Miloc, for Arsenal de Sarandi.

Patronato will next travel to Central Córdoba, while Arsenal de Sarandi will face CA Platense at home.
