Lanús 0-1 Racing: Racing extend their winning streak

Racing Club defeated Lanús 1-0 on Wednesday at Estadio Ciudad de Lanus. Lanús arrived at the match looking to pick up more points after losing their last match 1-0 to Patronato. Racing were hoping to continue their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Colón and Atlético Tucumán. Lanús and Racing currently occupy 27th and 1st spots in the league, with 20 points and 50 points respectively after 26 matches.

Following a goalless first half, Racing continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Enzo Copetti found the net, at 81 minutes, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Lanús included Franco Orozco and Mateo Sanabria for Ivan Cazal and Franco Troyansky, respectively. Racing brought on Jonathan Gomez, Facundo Mura, Nicolas Oroz, Maximiliano Romero and Jonathan Galvan, to replace Carlos Alcaraz, Ivan Pillud, Leonel Miranda, Matias Rojas and Johan Carbonero.

There were bookings for Franco Troyansky, Matias Perez, Franco Orozco and Leonel Di Placido from Lanús. For Racing, Gonzalo Piovi, Eugenio Mena and Jonathan Galvan saw yellow.

Lanús will play away against CA Platense, while Racing will face River at home.
