Lanús 0-1 Boca: Visitors secure narrow victory

Boca beat Lanús with a 1-0 victory on Thursday at Estadio Ciudad de Lanus. Lanús were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 2-0 to Barracas C. in their previous fixture. Boca were hoping to continue their winning streak after back-to-back victories against River and Colón. Lanús are now in 28th place, with 11 points from 19 matches, while Boca sit in 1st, with 35 points from 19.

Following a goalless first half, Boca continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Dario Benedetto found the net just before the full time, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Lanús included Mateo Sanabria, Samuel Careaga, Franco Orozco, Jose Sand and Julian Aude for Franco Troyansky, Lautaro Acosta, Luciano Boggio, Brian Blando and Nicolas Pasquini, respectively. Boca brought on Alan Varela, Martin Payero, Luca Daniel Langoni, Maximiliano Ezequiel Zalazar and Dario Benedetto for Juan Ramirez, Esteban Rolon, Norberto Briasco, Oscar Romero and Luis Vazquez.

There were bookings for Tomas Belmonte from Lanús. For Boca, Frank Fabra, Jorge Figal, Luis Advincula, Carlos Zambrano and Agustin Rossi saw yellow.

Lanús will next travel to Banfield, while Boca will face Defensa and Justicia at home.
