Godoy Cruz 0-1 Patronato: Patranato keep winning road form going

Godoy Cruz were defeated at home by Patronato at Estadio Malvinas Argentinas on Monday. Godoy Cruz arrived with the intention of improving their league position following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Argentinos Juniors in their previous game. Patronato were coming off the back of a 1-0 win against Lanús. Godoy Cruz are now in 12th place on the table and have 35 points while Patronato sit in 11th with 37 points after 26 matches.

Patronato started strongly in the first half, when Jonas Acevedo found the net, 9 minutes in, which saw the first half end 1-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Godoy Cruz included Gabriel Vega, Matias Ramirez, Bruno Leyes, Enzo Larrosa and Tadeo Allende for Juan Pintado, Juan Andrada, Nelson Acevedo, Salomon Rodriguez and Guillermo Ortiz, respectively. Patronato brought on Sergio Ojeda, Raul Alberto Lozano, Justo Giani, Jonathan Herrera and Leonel Mosevich, to replace Francisco Alvarez, Lautaro Geminiani, Alexander Sosa, Axel Rodriguez and Franco Leys.

There were bookings for Martin Ojeda, Jose Canale and Bruno Leyes from Godoy Cruz. For Patronato, Lautaro Geminiani and Jonas Acevedo saw yellow.

Godoy Cruz will next travel to Estudiantes La Plata, while Patronato will face Defensa and Justicia at home.
