Godoy Cruz 2-1 Defensa and Justicia: Visitors leave Estadio Malvinas Argentinas empty handed

Defensa and Justicia on away loss to Godoy Cruz at Estadio Malvinas Argentinas on Monday. Godoy Cruz were looking forward to meeting again, following a previous defeat to Rosario Central. Defensa and Justicia, on the other hand, are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As the table looks today, Godoy Cruz and Defensa and Justicia are 7th, (6 points) and 25th, (3 points), in the league respectively, after 4 matches.

The first half of the match started favourably for Defensa and Justicia, when Francisco Pizzini found the net, 14 minutes in. However, their lead didn’t last for long, Guillermo Ortiz producing an equaliser, at 23 minutes, bringing Godoy Cruz level. However they weren’t finished yet and Salomon Rodriguez made it 2-1, 36 minutes in, which saw the first half end 2-1.
