Gimnasia 0-1 CA Tigre: Visitors dig out a narrow road win
CA Tigre’s 1-0 win over Gimnasia La Plata on Sunday, was hard fought at Estadio Juan Carmelo Zerillo. Gimnasia were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 1-0 to Central Córdoba. CA Tigre, meanwhile, were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-0 win against Vélez Sarsfield in their last match. Gimnasia and CA Tigre sit 4th, (36 points) and 8th, (30 points), in the table respectively, after 21 matches.
CA Tigre started the match strongly, with a goal from Blas Armoa on the 30 minute mark to take them into the break 1-0 up. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-0 at full time.
Substitutions for Gimnasia included Carlos Insaurralde, Tomas Muro, Leandro Contin, Matias Miranda and Alexis Steimbach for Guillermo Enrique, Ramon Sosa, Erik Ramirez, Brahian Aleman and Benjamin Dominguez, respectively. CA Tigre replaced Sebastian Prediger, Martin Ortega, Gonzalo Flores and Agustin Baldi with Blas Armoa, Lucas Menossi, Facundo Colidio and Ezequiel Fernandez.
