Defensa and Justicia 1-1 Vélez: Honours even as Vélez net late equaliser

Defensa and Justicia were held to 1-1 draw by Vélez down on Saturday at Estadio Norberto Tomaghello. Defensa and Justicia arrived at the match looking pick up points after losing 2-1 to Godoy Cruz in their last match. Vélez were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-0 victory against Rosario Central. As it stands, Defensa and Justicia are currently 21st with 4 points from 5 matches, while Vélez sit in 20th, with 5 points from 5.

Following a goalless first half, Defensa and Justicia fought back the second half, with a goal from Nicolas Fernandez in the 88th minute. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Nicolas Garayalde equalised for Vélez just before the final whistle and saw the match end 1-1.
