Central Córdoba 1-2 Argentinos: Visitors secure points to climb into fourth

Central Córdoba on home loss to Argentinos Juniors at Estadio Alfredo Terrera on Saturday. Central Córdoba were looking to pick up points, following a 2-0 victory against Talleres Córdoba. Argentinos, on the other hand, were unable to beat Arsenal de Sarandi in a 1-1 draw. At the moment, Central Córdoba are in 15th place in the table and have 7 points while Argentinos sit in 3rd with 10 points after 6 matches.

Following a goalless first half, Argentinos certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, thanks to a goal from Nicolas Reniero at the 51 minute mark. However, the good fortune didn’t last for long. An equalizer from Jesus Miguel Soraire at the 67 minute mark brought Central Córdoba level. In the end though, Argentinos at the 76 minute mark took the victory via a Miguel Torren goal. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 2-1 to Argentinos.

Substitutions for Central Córdoba included Ramon Cansinos, Alejandro Martinez, Hernan Lopez Munoz, Gonzalo Rios and Lucas Besozzi for Claudio Riano, Lautaro Montoya, Alan Barrionuevo, Francisco Gonzalez and Enzo Kalinski, repectively. Argentinos brought on Lautaro Nahuel Ovando, Franco Moyano, Gabriel Carabajal and Gaston Veron, to replace Thiago Nuss, Matias Alejandro Galarza, Javier Cabrera and Nicolas Reniero.

There were bookings for Fabio Pereyra, Alan Barrionuevo, Ramon Cansinos, Jonathan Bay and Enzo Kalinski from Central Córdoba, and Miguel Torren and Pablo Minissale, for Argentinos.

Central Córdoba will play their next fixture away against Estudiantes La Plata, while Argentinos will face CA Tigre at home.
