Barracas C. 3-1 Godoy Cruz: Visitors leave Estadio Barracas Central empty handed

Barracas C. enjoyed a home victory against Godoy Cruz at Estadio Barracas Central on Saturday. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were each keen to pick up points. Barracas C. arrived with the intention of improving their league position following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Defensa and Justicia in their previous game. Godoy Cruz were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Barracas C. and Godoy Cruz are 14th, (27 points) and 5th, (32 points), in the table respectively, after 20 matches.

Barracas C. fought back, when Diego Rodriguez found the net in the 53rd minute. However, Godoy Cruz refused to lie down and managed to pull back a goal from Martin Ojeda on the 61 minute mark. In the end though, Barracas C. increased their lead via a Dylan Emanuel Glaby goal, 64 minutes in, seing the match finish 3-1.

Substitutions for Barracas C. included Dylan Emanuel Glaby, Cristian Colman, Juan Manuel Vazquez and Maximiliano Puig for Facundo Mater, Bruno Sepulveda, Ivan Tapia and Neri Bandiera, respectively. Godoy Cruz brought on Gabriel Vega, Tadeo Allende, Salomon Rodriguez, Bruno Leyes and Tomas Badaloni, to replace Gonzalo Abrego, Matias Ramirez, Tomas Castro Ponce, Nelson Acevedo and Enzo Larrosa.

There were bookings for Fernando Valenzuela from Barracas C., and Pier Barrios, for Godoy Cruz.
