Atlético Tucumán 1 – Talleres 1: Victory elusive at Estadio Monumental Jose Fierro for both sides

On Friday, Atlético Tucumán and Talleres played out a 1-1 draw at Estadio Monumental Jose Fierro. Atlético Tucumán arrived with the intention of improving their league position after a 1-1 draw against San Lorenzo. Talleres, meanwhile, were coming off the back of a 1-0 win against Defensa and Justicia. Atlético Tucumán are now in 2nd place on the table and have 35 points while Talleres sit in 24th with 19 points after 19 matches.

Talleres started strongly in the first half, with a goal from Francisco Pizzini on the 35 minute mark, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

Atlético Tucumán fought back, when Ramiro Carrera found the net on the 53 minute mark, to level the score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Atlético Tucumán included Renzo Ivan Tesuri, Ignacio Maestro Puch, Mateo Coronel, Eugenio Isnaldo and Augusto Lotti for Ciro Rius, Ramiro Ruiz Rodriguez, Martin Garay, Joaquin Pereyra and Cristian Menendez, respectively. Talleres brought on Julian Malatini, Hector Fertoli and Angelo Martino, to replace Alan Franco, Diego Valoyes and Francisco Pizzini.

There were bookings for Renzo Ivan Tesuri, Guillermo Acosta and Matias Orihuela from Atlético Tucumán, and Guido Herrera, Alan Franco and Rafael Perez, for Talleres.

Atlético Tucumán will play their next fixture away against Argentinos Juniors, while Talleres will face Colón at home.
