Atlético Tucumán 2-0 Gimnasia: No joy for visitors as Atlético ease to a win

Gimnasia La Plata fell to an away defeat at the hands of Atlético Tucumán at Estadio Monumental Jose Fierro on Monday. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. Atlético Tucumán were looking to continue their run, following a 1-0 victory against Vélez Sarsfield whilst Gimnasia were coming from consecutive wins against Defensa and Justicia and Rosario Central. As the table looks today, Atlético Tucumán are currently 6th with 13 points from 7 matches, while Gimnasia sit in 2nd, with 14 points from 7.

Atlético Tucumán started strongly in the first half, with an early goal from Augusto Lotti in the 1st minute. The score at half time was 1-0.

Atlético Tucumán continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Ramiro Ruiz Rodriguez, 62 minutes in so at full time it was 2-0 to Atlético Tucumán.

Substitutions for Atlético Tucumán included Cristian Menendez, Renzo Ivan Tesuri, Eugenio Isnaldo, Francisco Di Franco and Andres Balanta for Augusto Lotti, Ramiro Ruiz Rodriguez, Ciro Rius, Joaquin Pereyra and Ramiro Carrera, repectively. Gimnasia brought on Matias Miranda, Tomas Muro and German Guiffrey, to replace Lautaro Chavez, Ramon Sosa and Oscar Piris.
