Argentinos 0-3 River: River Plate raid the Diego Armando Maradona

Argentinos on home loss to River at Diego Armando Maradona on Monday. Argentinos were looking to pick up points after winning last match. River had lost their previous match against Talleres Córdoba. Argentinos and River currently occupy 8th and 6th spots in the table, with 33 points and 35 points respectively after 22 matches.

Following a goalless first half, River continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Juan Quintero found the net on the 66 minute mark. River looked to have the match under control when they scored again to grab the advantage, thanks to a goal from Lucas Beltran, at 69 minutes to establish a 2-0. River then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Agustin Palavecino on the 80 minute mark to give a final score of 3-0.

Substitutions for Argentinos included Thiago Nuss, Andres Roa, Federico Redondo Solari and Nicolas Reniero for Gaston Veron, Jose Maria Herrera, Lucas Villalba and Javier Cabrera, respectively. River brought on Lucas Beltran, Juan Quintero and Agustin Palavecino, to replace Pablo Solari, Ezequiel Barco and Bruno Zuculini.

There were bookings for Gaston Veron from Argentinos. For River, Ezequiel Barco, Bruno Zuculini, David Martinez, Paulo Diaz and Lucas Beltran saw yellow.

Argentinos will play their next fixture away against Lanús, while River will face Estudiantes La Plata at home.
