Palestino 1 – Univ de Chile 2: Visitors ecstatic after win at Municipal de La Cisterna

Univ de Chile eased past Palestino in a 2-1 victory on Thursday at Municipal de La Cisterna. Palestino were looking forward to playing again after losing 2-0 to Ñublense in their last match. Univ de Chile were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Palestino are now in 4th place, with 37 points from 25 matches, while Univ de Chile sit in 13th, with 26 points from 25.

The first half of the match started well for Univ de Chile, when Franco Pardo found the net, at 32 minutes. Univ de Chile then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Lucas Assadi in the 38th minute, to take a 2-0 lead into half time.

Palestino took the lead in the second half, when Pedro Ojeda found the net, 65 minutes in, sealing a 2-1 victory for the away side.

Substitutions for Palestino included Andres Vilches and Nicolas Meza for Franco Pardo and Felipe Chamorro, respectively. Univ de Chile brought on Bastian Tapia, Felipe Seymour, Felipe Gallegos, Junior Fernandes and Jeisson Vargas for Yonathan Andia, Lucas Assadi, Jose Ignacio Castro Mena, Pedro Ojeda and Cristian Palacios.

There were bookings for Agustin Farias and Vicente Fernandez Godoy from Palestino. For Univ de Chile, Cristian Palacios, Bastian Tapia and Cristobal Campos saw yellow.

Univ de Chile and Palestino will next play at home to Audax Italiano and Everton Viña del Mar respectively.
