O’Higgins 0-0 Curicó: Frustration for second-placed Curicó as defences on top

O’Higgins were held to 0-0 draw by Curicó down on Saturday at El Teniente. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. O’Higgins were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last match 2-1 to Audax Italiano. Curicó were beaten 4-0 in the previous match against Everton Viña del Mar. As the table looks today, O’Higgins are in 8th place, with 28 points from 21 matches, while Curicó sit in 2nd, with 36 points from 21.

Substitutions for O’Higgins included Esteban Moreira, Sebastian Ubilla and Brian Torrealba for Facundo Barcelo, Facundo Castro and Fabian Hormazabal, repectively. Curicó replaced Diego Coelho and Federico Castro with Felipe Fritz and Bayron Oyarzo.

The referee booked four players. Facundo Barcelo and Antonio Diaz from O’Higgins, who saw yellow cards and Matias Donoso, sent off with a red, as well as for Curicó Mario Sandoval received yellows.

O’Higgins will play their next fixture away against U. Católica, while Curicó will face Univ de Chile at home.
