Ñublense 1-2 Audax Italiano: Strong second-half secures maximum points for visitors

Audax Italiano’s 2-1 win over Ñublense on Friday, was hard fought at Estadio Nelson Oyarzún. Ñublense wanted to continue adding points after a scoreless draw against Colo Colo in their previous match. Audax Italiano were beaten 3-2 in the previous match against La Serena. As it stands, Ñublense are in 2nd place in the table and have 29 points while Audax Italiano sit in 10th with 19 points after 16 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on Ñublense who started the second half well, when Alexander Aravena found the net at the 51 minute mark. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Federico Mateos in the 54th minute, brought Audax Italiano level. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Oliver Rojas, at 63 minutes to make it 2-1.

Substitutions for Ñublense included Ivan Rozas, Nicolas Vargas, Mathias Pinto and Felipe Reynero for Patricio Rubio, Fernando Cordero, Matias Moya and Lorenzo Reyes, repectively. Audax Italiano brought on Gonzalo Alvarez, Michael Fuentes and Marlon Carrasco, to replace Tomas Andrade, Luis Riveros and Matias Sepulveda.

There were bookings for Patricio Rubio from Ñublense, and Carlos Labrin, Roberto Cereceda, Jorge Henriquez and Gonzalo Alvarez, for Audax Italiano.

Ñublense will next play Unión La Calera away, with Audax Italiano facing Huachipato at home.
