Huachipato 0 – Coquimbo 1: Visitors ecstatic after win at Estadio Cap

Coquimbo Unido beat Huachipato with a 1-0 victory on Saturday at Estadio Cap. Huachipato were keen to hang onto their position at the top of the table and extend their winning run after winning last match. Coquimbo had lost their previous match against Unión La Calera. Huachipato are now in 11th place on the table and have 32 points while Coquimbo sit in 16th with 20 points after 27 matches.

Coquimbo started strongly in the first half, with a goal from Ignacio Jeraldino, at 34 minutes to take them into the break 1-0 up. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Huachipato included Marcelo Canete, Antonio Castillo, Juan Sanchez, Walter Mazzantti and Carlos Lobos for Claudio Sepulveda, Renzo Malanca, Maxi Rodriguez, Nicolas Baeza and Gonzalo Montes, respectively. Coquimbo brought on Cristopher Barrera, Ricardo Escobar, Cristian Aravena and Nicolas Gauna, to replace Jhon Bravo, Fabian Carmona, Ruben Farfan and Ignacio Jeraldino.

There were bookings for Benjamin Gazzolo from Huachipato, and Guillermo Orellana, for Coquimbo.

Huachipato will next travel to Ñublense, while Coquimbo will face Colo Colo at home.
