Everton 3 – Antofagasta 0: Bad day for visitors at Sausalito

Everton Viña del Mar cruises against Antofagasta on a home win at Sausalito on Sunday. Everton were aiming to improve their league standing after a 1-1 draw against Univ de Chile while Antofagasta were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-0 victory against Unión Española. Everton are now in 9th place on the table and have 39 points while Antofagasta sit in 14th with 26 points after 29 matches.

Everton found the net first, when Benjamin Berrios opened the rout just before half-time

Everton once more applied the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, with a goal from Sebastian Sosa, at 71 minutes. However they weren’t finished yet and Matias Campos made it 3-0 just before the full time to give a final score of 3-0.

Substitutions for Everton included Lautaro Pastran, Cristopher Medina, Matias Campos and John Michael Salas Torres for Pedro Sanchez, Bryan Carvallo, Sebastian Sosa and Alex Ibacache, respectively. Antofagasta brought on Tobias Figueroa, Brayan Hurtado and Marco Collao, to replace Ariel Uribe, Diego Orellana and Bruno Perez.

There were bookings for Pedro Sanchez and Bryan Carvallo from Everton. For Antofagasta, Federico Bravo and Paulo Magalhaes saw yellow.

Everton will next travel to O’Higgins, while Antofagasta will face U. Católica at home.
