Curicó 3-0 Coquimbo: Visitors trounced by Curicó fast start Estadio La Granja

Curicó Unido ease to a comfortable 3-0 win at Estadio La Granja. Both Curicó and Coquimbo came from defeats in their previous league games. Curicó were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last match 3-1 to Ñublense. Coquimbo lost 4-2 in the last match they played against Unión Española. As it stands, Curicó are in 4th place, with 25 points from 15 matches, while Coquimbo sit in 15th, with 12 points from 15.

Curicó didn’t take long to start the rout, when Rodrigo Holgado opened the rout after only 7 minutes. The momentum was now with Curicó, who then scored again through a goal from Bayron Oyarzo in the 9th minute to establish a 2-0. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Yerko Leiva, 21 minutes in to see out the first half 3-0. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

Substitutions for Curicó included Felipe Fritz, Felipe Ortiz, Joaquin Gonzalez, Federico Castro and Diego Urzua for Diego Coelho, Bayron Oyarzo, Yerko Leiva, Rodrigo Holgado and Agustin Nadruz, repectively. Coquimbo brought on Dylan Escobar, Cesar Huanca, Cristian Aravena and Franco Cortes, to replace Fernando Manriquez, Alvaro Ramos, Ricardo Escobar and Cristobal Marin.

The referee booked five players. Ronald de la Fuente and Agustin Nadruz from Curicó, who saw yellow cards and Diego Coelho, sent off with a red, as well as for Coquimbo Cristian Aravena and Victor Gonzalez received yellows.
