Audax Italiano 1-2 Colo Colo: Visitors steal the show at Estadio Municipal de La Florida

Audax Italiano on home loss to Colo Colo at Estadio Municipal de La Florida on Saturday. Audax Italiano wanted to continue adding points after a 1-1 draw against Huachipato. Colo Colo, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 3-0 victory against La Serena. Following today’s result, Audax Italiano are in 12th place in the table and have 20 points while Colo Colo sit in 1st with 33 points after 18 matches.

After a goalless first half, Colo Colo continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Juan Lucero found the net in the 71st minute. However, they were unable to maintain their lead, Michael Fuentes managed to equalize and take the sides off in the 79th minute at 1-1. Colo Colo in turn, then responded just before the final whistle increasing their lead with an effort from Gabriel Costa, which sealed the victory for the visitors.

Substitutions for Audax Italiano included Gonzalo Alvarez, Nicolas Fernandez, Michael Fuentes and Jorge Henriquez for Tomas Andrade, Oliver Rojas, Matias Sepulveda and Luis Riveros, repectively. Colo Colo brought on Vicente Pizarro, Cristian Zavala and Marcos Bolados, to replace Alexander Oroz, Agustin Bouzat and Leonardo Gil.

There were bookings for Fabian Torres and Roberto Cereceda from Audax Italiano. For Colo Colo, Alexander Oroz, Gabriel Costa and Maximiliano Falcon saw yellow.

Audax Italiano will play away against Antofagasta, while Colo Colo will face Huachipato at home.
