Troyes 1 – Reims 0: Visitors leave Stade de l’Aube empty handed

Reims on away loss to Troyes at Stade de l’Aube on Sunday. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Troyes wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Saint-Étienne in their previous game. Reims, on the other hand, had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Lyon. As things stand, Troyes and Reims currently occupy 15th and 13th spots in the table, with 32 points and 36 points respectively after 30 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, Troyes applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Renaud Ripart just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For Troyes, Erik Palmer-Brown, Yoann Touzghar, Mama Balde, Renaud Ripart and Youssouf Kone, came on for Adil Rami, Tristan Dingome, Lebo Mothiba, Erik Palmer-Brown and Abdu Conte. Reims brought on Jens-Lys Cajuste, Nathanael Mbuku and Bradley Locko, to replace Alexis Flips, Mitchell Van Bergen and Fraser Hornby.

The referee booked Erik Palmer-Brown from Troyes. Reims had the worst of it though, with Yunis Abdelhamid, Azor Matusiwa and Maxime Busi seeing yellow, and Azor Matusiwa (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.

Troyes will next travel to AS Mónaco, while Reims will face Rennes at home.
