Tolouse 2 – RCSA 2: Victory elusive at Stadium de Toulouse for both sides

Tolouse were helde ach other to a 2-2 draw by RCSA on Sunday at Stadium de Toulouse. Tolouse were keen to hang onto their position at the top of the table and extend their winning run, following a 3-2 victory against Angers SCO. RCSA were beaten 3-0 in their previous match against Lille. Tolouse are now in 10th place, with 16 points from 12 matches, while RCSA sit in 16th, with 9 points from 12.

Tolouse started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Anthony Rouault gave them the lead just before half-time

Tolouse started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, when Brecht Dejaegere found the net, 55 minutes in. However, RCSA refused to lie down and managed to pull back a goal from Lebo Mothiba, 65 minutes in. However they weren’t finished yet and Kevin Gameiro made it 2-2, at 73 minutes to give a final score of 2-2.

Substitutions for Tolouse included Ado Onaiwu, Moussa Diarra, Veljko Birmancevic and Denis Genreau for Fares Chaibi, Brecht Dejaegere, Rafael Ratao and Branco Van den Boomen, respectively. RCSA brought on Lucas Perrin, Ronael Pierre-Gabriel, Jean-Eudes Aholou, Lebo Mothiba and Thomas Delaine, to replace Alexander Djiku, Colin Dagba, Adrien Thomasson, Sanjin Prcic and Dimitri Lienard.

The referee booked Rasmus Nicolaisen from Tolouse and Rasmus Nicolaisen (2 yellow cards) went off with a red card, while RCSA’s Dimitri Lienard also received a yellow.

Tolouse will next travel to RC Lens, while RCSA will face Olympique de Marseille at home.
