Tolouse 2-2 Lorient: Points shared as Ibrahima Kone rescues a point for Lorient

On Sunday, Tolouse and Lorient were held to a 2-2 draw at Stadium de Toulouse. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Tolouse were looking to pick up points, following a 3-0 victory against Troyes. Lorient were coming off the back of a 1-0 win against Rennes. As the table looks today, Tolouse are currently 6th with 5 points from 3 matches, while Lorient sit in 9th, with 4 points from 3.

Lorient started the first half well, with an early goal from Armand Lauriente in the 2nd minute. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Rafael Ratao equalised for Tolouse at the 31 minute mark to see out the first half 1-1.

Tolouse took the initiative in the second half, when Thijs Dallinga found the net, 64 minutes in. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Ibrahima Kone equalised for The Merlucciidaes, at 80 minutes. The final result, Tolouse 2, Lorient 2.

Substitutions for Tolouse included Rhys Healey, Ado Onaiwu, Kevin Keben Biakolo and Denis Genreau for Thijs Dallinga, Rafael Ratao, Moussa Diarra and Brecht Dejaegere, repectively. Lorient brought on Ibrahima Kone, Julien Ponceau, Stephane Diarra, Quentin Boisgard and Adrian Grbic, to replace Terem Moffi, Theo Le Bris, Dango Ouattara, Enzo Le Fee and Armand Lauriente.

There were bookings for Thijs Dallinga and Branco Van den Boomen from Tolouse. For Lorient, Enzo Le Fee saw yellow.

Tolouse will next play Nantes away, with Lorient facing Clermont Foot at home.
