Tolouse 0-2 Monaco: The Monégasques seal the deal on the road
AS Mónaco eased past Tolouse FC in a 2-0 victory on Sunday at Stadium de Toulouse. Tolouse arrived at the match looking to pick up more points after losing 3-0 to RC Lens in their last match. Monaco were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-0 victory against Angers SCO. Tolouse are now in 12th place on the table and have 16 points while Monaco sit in 4th with 27 points after 14 matches.
The Monégasques started strongly in the first half, when Aleksandr Golovin gave them the lead just before half-time, saw out the first half 1-0.
Monaco continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, with a goal from Breel Embolo on the 60 minute mark, seing the match finish 2-0.
Substitutions for Tolouse included Fares Chaibi, Thijs Dallinga and Ado Onaiwu for Brecht Dejaegere, Veljko Birmancevic and Rafael Ratao, respectively. Monaco brought on Wissam Ben Yedder, Krepin Diatta, Ruben Aguilar, Ismail Jakobs and Maghnes Akliouche, to replace Breel Embolo, Takumi Minamino, Vanderson, Aleksandr Golovin and Kevin Volland.
The referee booked Maghnes Akliouche for Monaco.
Tolouse will next play Rennes away, with Monaco facing Olympique de Marseille at home.
