Saturday at the Roazhon Park, as Rennes host ASSE in the Ligue 1.

As it stands, ASSE will go to the Roazhon Park in eighteenth place, Rennes are currently in fourth.

This season’s Ligue 1 campaign, has so far seen Rennes achieve 59 points

Rennes will be hoping to increase their row, after victories over both FC Lorient and RC Strasburg.

Also, Rennes keep finding ways to win, having secured nine victories in their last 14 matches is astonishing this season. With 59 points, they currently sit fourth in the League. The breakdown for the team’s record is 19 wins, 11 losses and 5 draws having won 19 fixtures, drawn five games, and lost 11 meetings.

If odds are anything to go by, ASSE cannot expect to get a good result of their trip to Rennes. This is particularly true, given both team’s form. Rennes have won 12 games, drawn one game, and lost four meetings at home this season.

A win in this fixture, would take Rennes’s points from 59 to 62, so far this season.

Good Attacking Performance

They have a good scoring stats of 77 goals (73 from open play and four penalties). This has been largely down to the key attacking players: Martin Terrier (12), Sehrou Guirassy (7), and Benjamin Bourigeaud (7). Rennes have conceded 36 goals.

It is likely that five key players will miss Saturday’s fixture, which is something of a concern for Bruno Genesio and his Rennes team.

With the Ligue 1 season well into its stride, Saint-Étienne have managed to gain 31 points

Time will tell, whether ASSE’s recent run of poor form is about to change. However Pascal Dupraz will be keen to turn his season around with this game, following the recent defeat to AS Mónaco, which followed a disappointing 2-2 draw against Bordeaux.

Also, ASSE need to find a way to generate wins on a consistent basis, as they’ve recorded 11 losses in their last 20 matches. With an eighteenth position in the league and 7 wins, 18 losses and 10 draws, they currently have 31 points in the League having won seven meetings, drawn 10 fixtures, and lost 18 games.

ASSE have had a disappointing run of performances on the road, having won three meetings, drawn four matches, and lost nine meetings of their 16 League matches playing away this season.

A win in this fixture would take Saint-Étienne’s points to 34 in the League.

Going into Saturday’s game, Pascal Dupraz without six of his players, due to illness or injury.
