Saturday’s Ligue 1 clash between Reims and the visiting champions, kicks off at 9:00pm GMT at the Stade Auguste Delaune.

PSG, remain in contention for Champion’s League qualification, sitting in first place and 16 places above seventeenth placed Reims, going into the clash.

Reims have so far accrued seven points in this season of the Ligue 1

Losing home to AS Mónaco 0-3, which followed them drawing away to Troyes 2-2, this is a worrying run of form for Reims Manager Oscar Garcia, who goes into this fixture, knowing that only a positive result will be good enough.

Also, Reims are quickly becoming the Ligue 1’s draw specialists, having recorded four in their last seven meetings. With a seventeenth position in the league and 1 wins, 4 losses and 4 draws, they currently have seven points in the League having won one game, drawn four matches, and lost four fixtures.

Playing at home, Reims have drawn two meetings and lost two games.

A win in this fixture would take Reims’s points to 10 in the League.

Oscar Garcia will be forced to make changes to the plans for his squad, as injury or illness has depleted him of six of his Reims players.

Paris Saint-Germain will seek to retain their position at the top of the table, this match is no exception

With a win in their previous game, (2-1) against Nice, PSG will likely be in a positive frame of mind.

Also, League leaders PSG keep finding ways to win, having secured eight victories in their last nine matches is astonishing this season, which places them firmly among the Champion’s League contenders. They currently sit in first place, top of the League, having accrued 25 points so far this season. This means a record of 8 wins, 0 losses and 1 draws having won eight games and drawn one game.

Playing away from home, PSG have won five fixtures.

Paris Saint-Germain will want to keep the pressure on their rivals as they sit at the top of the table, a win will take them to 28 points and keep their momentum going forward.

A solid defensive team

PSG have a solid defence, with only five goals conceded in their previous matches. PSG have one of the best goal scoring records so far this season, with 28 so far (26 from open play and two penalties). This season, their stand-out attacking players have been Kylian Mbappe (8), Neymar (8), and Lionel Messi (5).

Injury and illness have depleted Christophe Galtier’s PSG and they will likely be missing four key personnel for Saturday’s match.
