Strasbourg 1-1 Nantes: The Racers held at home as Nantes rally late

On Wednesday, RCSA and Nantes played out a 1-1 draw at Stade de La Meinau. RCSA were looking forward to playing again after losing their last match 1-0 to Auxerre. Nantes, meanwhile, were able to continue their winning streak after a 3-1 win against Tolouse FC in their last match. RCSA are now in 17th place on the table and have 3 points while Nantes sit in 9th with 6 points after 5 matches.

The Racers started the match strongly, thanks to a goal from Habib Diallo in the 28th minute, and they saw out the first half 1-0.

Nantes took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Mostafa Mohamed just before the full time. The match ended wih a 1-1 draw.

Substitutions for RCSA included Sanjin Prcic, Ludovic Ajorque, Colin Dagba and Adrien Thomasson for Dimitri Lienard, Kevin Gameiro, Jean-Eudes Aholou and Diarra Mouhamadou, respectively. Nantes brought on Mohamed Achi Bouakline, Fabio, Marcus Coco and Lohann Doucet, to replace Abdoul Kader Bamba, Sebastien Corchia, Dennis Appiah and Andrei.

The referee booked three players from Nantes, Samuel Moutoussamy, Fabio and Remy Descamps.

RCSA will next travel to Brest, while Nantes will face Paris Saint-Germain at home.
