RCSA 0 – Lille 3: Home defeat for The Racers as Les Dogues seal win

Lille see RC Strasburg off 3-0 on Friday at the Stade de La Meinau. Both RCSA and Lille arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. RCSA had been hopeful of continuing their good run, following a 3-2 victory against Angers SCO. Lille were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against RC Lens. RCSA are now in 15th place, with 8 points from 11 matches, while Lille sit in 6th, with 19 points from 11.

Les Dogues started strong and were rewarded, when Jonathan David opened the rout just before half-time, saw out the first half 1-0.

Lille continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Jonathan David found the net once more, at 76 minutes. However they weren’t finished yet and Remy Cabella made it 3-0 in the 80th minute to give a final score of 3-0.

Substitutions for RCSA included Ismael Doukouire, Dimitri Lienard, Adrien Thomasson, Ronael Pierre-Gabriel and Jean-Eudes Aholou for Maxime Le Marchand, Thomas Delaine, Ibrahima Sissoko, Colin Dagba and Sanjin Prcic, respectively. Lille brought on Tim Weah, Carlos Baleba, Alexsandro Ribeiro, Edon Zhegrova and Jonas Martin, to replace Adam Ounas, Andre Gomes, Tiago Djalo, Remy Cabella and Benjamin Andre.

There were bookings for Maxime Le Marchand, Sanjin Prcic and Gerzino Nyamsi from RCSA. For Lille, Benjamin Andre saw yellow.

RCSA will next play Tolouse FC away, with Lille facing AS Mónaco at home.
